For beginning students, I usually prefer to use the Suzuki method, as this is the method I grew up on, and I prefer to teach the knowledge that I find useful in the method. However, my lessons are not solely based on my preference, as I identify individual strengths and weaknesses and target those in the sessions. I have also learned Irish traditional music in Ireland, from the Irish in music sessions and in more formal school settings. I spent 9 months there obtaining a Masters in Ethnomusicology. While teaching private lessons to students across Kentucky I also was a music theory tutor for my peers at Morehead. I have experience teaching students at all levels, from beginner to advanced levels.
