For young beginner students, I typically use the Suzuki method, as that is the way I was trained. Ill also implement other books/techniques as I find useful, such as Feuillard, Cossmann, Duport, and Starker. However, I understand that not every student learns the same way, and I love formulating a plan that works well for each student. Students often come with on their own goals for repertoire in mind, and I wanna do my best to accommodate those. Read More

I tailor my teaching to each student's needs and interests. I emphasize overall musicianship in addition to learning to the fundamentals of the particular instrument, splitting most lessons 50/50 between fundamentals on the instrument and musicianship skills such as music theory, sight-reading, sight-singing, playing by ear, and composition or improvisation. For students in a school band or orchestra program, I will work with them on their band music and bring in additional material as enrichment. Read More
Instruments: Drums
I began teaching drums back in 2008. I used to only travel to clients. I now have a great home studio set up that I record music and give instructions out of. I enjoy teaching drums and experiencing someone else's progress with my help. It is very gratifying and exciting for me. I enjoy a challenge and always strive to learn new things myself, Read More
