From a family of musicians, I started playing the cello at the age of 5. After being a cellist for the Conservatory of Quebec Orchestra in Saguenay, I switched to percussion. I recorded the Flight of the Bumble Bee for the first time at age 14 and became a symphonic percussionist later with the National Art Center Orchestra of Canada as well as for the Ottawa Symphony while playing for the Starlighters and Savoy Swing Band at the Penguin cafe in Ottawa. I taught myself how to play the clarinet when I was 13 years old. In high school, I was accepted in to the California All State Honor Band my junior and senior years (2007, 2008). The experiences I had powerful and emotional impact on me, and it was then that I decided to dedicate a life to music through my clarinet.
