For beginning students who are children, I usually start with a songbook, such as the Accent on Achievement method book. Once the student has a grasp on the fundamentals, I begin to introduce solo repertoire. For adult students, I try to find out what the student is interested in pursuing, and then if they are a beginner, I teach fundamentals through the Rubank method books and supplement with songs that are approapriate to the student's taste. My teaching experience dates back to 2014, when I taught massage therapy for a year. During that time, I realized that I have a true passion for sharing my knowledge with others. I have also taught photography lessons, as well as private music lessons. My greatest joy in teaching is creating a safe space for students to learn and grow. I am a passionate teacher and performer and I love what I do. In 2015, I graduated with a Double Degree in both Music Performance for Jazz Guitar as well as Spanish Language and Cultures.
