I am a passionate instructor looking to teach my knowledge of trombone to any and all students. In May, 2018 I graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a BA in Music Business. For four years I took lessons with James Erdman, retired Marine Band first chair trombone, and performed in over 4 ensembles every semester. I work with my students to develop a strong technical foundation on their instrument, from which we can explore harmony, rhythmic training, ear training and theory. So I typically take a very relaxed approach during the first few lessons, to get the student to loosen up and feel comfortable, all while observing the student in order to assess their strengths and weaknesses, and figure out what types of music the student is interested in making. Then I can tailor their future lessons so that their goal of playing that type of music is never forgotten, or overshadowed by lots of "exercises" they feel aren't fun. Read More

I'm an enthusiastic and motivated instructor who loves having the opportunity to assist my students in building not only their skill, but also to build their love for music to match or even surpass my own. I grew up in a musical family and began with the piano and violin then took up singing when I was 15. I found that I could excel and after living two years in Bolivia, came back and studied voice with a well traveled professional baritone in Seattle. He encouraged me and then I was able to apprentice at the Lyric Opera in Chicago for 2 years. It prepared me to be a professional singer, which I have done for over 30 years. Read More
