My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching at a music summer camp 3 years ago. Since then, I have been teaching private students. I encourage regular practice sessions. This is one of the key points I like to emphasize for beginners especially, as it tends to help the student progress, gain a passion for the instrument, and build discipline. For beginners, I like Essential Elements 2000, Faber Method, Suzuki solo books, and easy pop music books. For beginners I normally use Talking Trumpet as a primary flow exercises book and Edwards-Hovey Method for Cornet or Trumpet to start the practice in articulations and fingerings in a comfortable pitch. In according with the improvement I add or change practice books. To intermediary level I certainly will apply Arban`s Complete Conservatory Method for Trumpet and some alternatives to flow exercises and technical studies.
