Instruments: Flute
All of my students learn through working towards practical and achievable goals that we set together. Beginning students are introduced to the fundamentals of music and flute technique through pairing theoretical exercises with practical, tangible music-making. This sets up a habit from day one that all of the concepts that we learn have a real-life purpose. Younger students begin learning from the Abracadbra flute book, progressing to solo repertoire and exercises as they progress. Read More

Regardless the ability level of the students and their goals, in the lessons I cover the two pillars of vocal art: Technique and Expressivity. We will work on our posture, breath management, resonance balance, articulation, registers and we will also focus on the dramatic part of singing, creating a dramatic circumstance for each song we explore. There must be a reason for you to say the words you are saying, singing is about sharing a message! Read More

The guitar has a poor reputation as a serious instrument, when it fact it is quite difficult, even physically un-natural to play. Bad habits can not only set you back, but take a great deal of time and effort to un-do, and can even cause physical pain or damage. I can't understate the importance of selecting a guitar teacher who has extensive experience with physical technique, and how it can free the guitarist from sluggish learning, frustration and most musical limits in their playing. I find students are most successful when they set their own goals. I like to ask each new pupil what kind of music they like, what they want to learn, and what their expectations are before we start. I believe it's most important to tailor my lessons to the specific person. Although I believe there are a number of techniques every player needs to learn I believe there are a plenty of ways to approach these fundamentals. Read More

I have one major rules for all my students: No one is allowed to be overly critical of themselves when they are working hard and trying out new ideas. You see, singing takes quite a bit of coordination, and there is always something else to work on. We must celebrate our triumphs and then take stock of what we need to work on next. Instead of asking a student what they think was wrong, I like to ask students to first list 3 things they think went well. Read More

Instruments: Drums
I am a 33 year old New York based professional drummer from Rome (Italy). I have been involved in music from a very early age, thanks to my father who sings and plays guitar, bass, piano, harmonica and drums. Music for me is a pure passion that became my job. As a teacher I try to pass that passion on to my students, helping them to find their own love of music, to have fun and eventually to do it professionally. Read More
