After graduating from Stetson in 2019, I stayed and taught as a Faculty Teacher at the Community School of Music, having more students. During my tenure, I taught students from four to 85 years old. When I went to get my graduate studies, I taught private lessons online and in person. Read More

first i ask what the student desires to learn . what type of music etc. once i have taught a few songs i ask the student to write a list of songs that they would like to learn. i teach how to find the key that the student sings in and how to transpose the song into that key. if the student does not wish to sing i teach them how the instrument of their choice works . again regardless of the instrument i usually am able to teach a student two songs in an hour lesson . one in four four timing and one in three four timing . there is nothing better than to see the light come on in a students face and see the confidence of ' i can do this ! Instruments: Trumpet
First in a lesson, I will go over what the student already knows, and what they have been practicing, as well as what they would like to practice. The student might not know what there is to practice or learn, so I'll give them materials and the tools to be able to get better with practice. I understand that not everyone will find playing a new instrument natural, and that's okay. Read More
