Music has always been my greatest passion. I became a teacher so I could spread that passion to my students and watch them succeed at something that they love. I believe it is important for all students to learn at their own pace and that is why I prefer the individual attention I can provide as a private lesson teacher over a classroom teacher. I have been performing since age 7 playing classical piano in recitals with my sister. I got my first guitar at the age of 12. At 15 I was playing around town with different bands. After years of playing in garage bands, I applied to Wayne State University and enrolled in their music department. I began teaching during my time in college. I have been teaching private lessons for over 5 years now and have seen a huge improvement in all of my students. I encourage a regular practice schedule and assign weekly studies for the guitar. I encourage all my students to learn to read music but have also found that having them learn with their ear can be beneficial.
