Instruments: Piano Guitar Bass Guitar Double Bass Tuba Music Electric Guitar
I love the Bass guitar and Double Bass and it is my goal to find and teach the students who have this same passion for the instrument. In my opinion, the bass is the most essential instrument in ANY ensemble and so if you learn to play the bass well enough you are on the track for success in any genre you wish to play. I am a very relaxed individual and this transfers to my teaching style. Read More

I would like to see students progress each week, and each lesson. I will let them take their own pace, and see how much they can grow. I will ask intermediate and advanced students what their goals are so I can help them achieve their goals at the end of our lessons each week. For beginning students, I just want to see how they can progress and what can I keep teaching them. Read More

It is my philosphopy that all people have the capacity to learn -- although not everyone learns at the same rate or in the same way. I believe in student-centric teaching meaning I try to find out what the student's goals are and then modify my curriculum to their unique learning style. No two lessons are the same! Read More

For beginning students, I usually start with a reputable method book that will allow them to advance in "grades" as the skills get better. At earlier stages of learning, the focus is on the technique towards learning the instrument. Throughout the advancement in levels, I try to focus on selecting pieces that the indivdual student will have interest in while balancing pieces necessary for learning more difficult musical techniques. I love working with both kids and adults of all ages. I especially enjoy watching them learn and grow as students. I graduated in May of 2018 from San Jacinto College - Central Campus with my associates degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in music. In addition to sharing my love of music with others. I also love to play my own music and covers of songs in my spare time. Read More

Typically, I like to start every lesson by spending some time working on specific vocal techniques. Good fundamentals are very important - developing good singing habits while getting rid of bad ones is key to consistent improvement. I believe that as a teacher, the best thing I can do for a student is to give them the tools to succeed outside of the lesson. We also spend time practicing musicianship skills, which means time spent on ear-training and learning to read music. Read More
Instruments: Violin
I'm a pasionate and hard working violinist and teacher who is always striving for the best from myself and my students. I am currently in the second year of my Masters in Violin Performance at Texas State University. In addition to my scholarly duties, I am also a member of the Graduate String quartet at Texas State. Chamber music is a passion of mine and it is my hope that each of my students will find something that they can be passionate about. Read More
