The most important and fundamental thing you can teach a student about music is that it can always be enjoyable. Music should be enjoyed, by the audience as well as the player. This is key to following through with music, I will always try to find a way to make the exercises I assign fun, or atleast not overly boring or repetitive. I am a violinist based in Minneapolis, and have studied under Fargo Moorhead Symphony's Joan Covington, as well as Minnesota Orchestra's Roger Frisch. I served as concertmaster to the Central Lakes Symphony Orchestra in the Alexandria Lakes area, MN for two years, and served as concertmaster in the University of Minnesota Campus Orchestra. I perform as a violinist in pitt ensembles throughout the Twin Cities, and greater Minnesota region. My musical life has been extraordinary. Born in Mpls. MN, I attended the Aspen Musical Festival before my departure to Vienna Austria for Master studies in Violin/viola and piano. Scholarship intended for one year ended up a 25 year tenure, teaching, performing in Vienna and raising a family. I returned to the US to become executive director of a music school in MN.
