Instruments: Voice
I have been working professionally in the industry for ten years. I have spent years perfecting my craft and would love to share my knowledge with others. Having an undergraduate degree in Commercial Voice has afforded me the opportunity to learn various styles of singing, This offers my students a unique chance to learn how to emulate their favorite commercial artists and create their own style within various genres. I have a strong classical foundation as well and would be happy to share my expertise in classical and operatic styles. Read More
Instruments: Violin Electric Violin
I have been playing the violin since I was 3, my father was my first violin teacher. Music is a big part of my life and I do enjoy performing and teaching very much. I love sharing my music knowledge with others, seeing my students making progress and achieving their goals is priceless and makes my life more worth living. I have performed as violin soloist, chamber musician and concertmaster of orchestras, those are valuable experiences I had in life that I'd love to pass on to others. I have also had student recitals every year in the past ten years, my students and I have toured and performed in China. Read More

Instruments: Piano Voice
For beginning piano students, I use the method books from Faber's Piano Adventures series. If the student gets bored with one method book, I will mostly likely top it off with something else from Alfred. I stress mostly on counting proper rhythm, learning alphabets, and finger numbers for early age groups. For intermediate students, I would expect students toalreadybe able to read music aside from the rhythm challenges. I will move on from where the student last left off from his/her former piano/voice teacher. Read More

Typically I like to emphasize fundamentals for my students since solid fundamentals is a foundation for everything else and is something that needs to be constantly maintained and can always be improved regardless of the student's level. In addition, I also take into account what the student is interested in and try to work on music that is engaging, fun, and within the ability level of the student. I use a variety of different method books to suit the need of the student as well as methods and exercises of my own. Read More

It is important for me that the student is motivated and enjoys the lesson since they have to keep loving playing and practicing at home everyday to be able to progress properly. Learning music as learning anything is about exploration and repetition. Once you understand something you have to be able to do it correctly a few times before moving on. This can only be achieved if there is a certain amount of practicing involved. Read More
