I am a professional teacher with plenty of experience, I started teaching violin in 2014 in a public school, after that, I got another job teaching violin to children ages 5 to up in a private school (2015). I started to teach next year (2016) in the Enrique Soro Music School, all these jobs were in Santiago, Chile. I have had private students also. I have experience with children ages 5 to up, teenagers, and adult people. Read More

I will teach each student based on what they already know, and the lessons will progress at the pace that is best for that particular student. Once the fundamentals have been learned the lessons can become more personal and adhere to the style of music and songs that the student would like to learn while still expanding on technique. My early guitar experience is mostly self taught so I am experienced in the type of songs that beginners can pick up on. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More

If I were to teach any adults (which I have not had the opportunity to do yet!), I think I would still start with Corley's book but then after that investigate what kinds of music they're hoping to play and touch on those things as well as work on advancing technique. I hope, too, that all of my students have an ensemble to play in whether they're homeschooled, attend a school, or are an adult learner. Read More

I devise a unique program for each individual student. I do not beleive in using the same method for every student because of the differences in theways students digest the information. I do offer performing opportunities with piano accompaniment as well as master classes to interested students on monthly basis Read More

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. It is vital that the student has a solid foundation of knowledge before he or she begins learning solo repertoire. Once the student is ready to do solo repertoire, I introduce styles of classical, jazz, and pop for variety so the student can stay interested in the instrument. For adults, my main goal is to help them become self-sufficient on their instrument. Read More
Instruments: Piano
While in my formative years, I enjoyed weekly piano lessons with a woman that I've come to appreciate as my second mother. She has always encouraged my talent and made sure I was using proper form as often as possible, even when I adopted the hobby of transcribing popular music to the piano and playing from rote. She has truly helped me appreciate the nuance and freedom of piano, and I joined Musika to pass that along to even more students. Read More
