Having taught students of all ages and skill levels I create a curriculum with the student that suits their goals and the practice schedule they are able to commit too. A part of my method is working with the student to create a practice schedule and plan so they can benefit as much as possible from their practice. For intermediate level students, I build on what they already know as well as improve basic skills that may have been overlooked. Some of my students want to go to college for music performance, and others just want to sound better in their school's band. I take that into account when choosing particular warmups and repertoire. My method for teaching is individualization. All my lessons are individualized for each student's ability level and musical interests. If need be, I use certain books to supplement my lessons and for personal at home practice. Normally I only recommend books to students that want to further their understanding and ability in sight-reading, drawing from my own experiences learning from various books and online sources. I've been teaching the guitar for over 25 years.  I majored in classical guitar at the Hartt School of Music where I received my Bachelors degree. I teach most styles of music including rock, blues, metal, and classical. Some of my favorite artist  are Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton and Randy Rhoads.
