Keeping the joy of making music when we practice is essential for steady progress. When possible, I will combine the giving assignments focusing on various topics (i.e.: theory/reading skills, ear training, technique, repertoire, improvisation...). I like to work on repertoire because that is where you find examples that later on will appear on-stage, what I call "real musician life experiences." I started teaching friends various instruments and general music theory as a freshman. Then I continued my teaching with tutoring my fellow bass students with more difficult material. Now, after having graduated from Rowan University, I teach with the Resonance School of Music teaching guitar, clarinet electric bass and upright bass. While Resonance is certainly a more traditional approach, I like to think I balance it out by also teaching at a School of Rock, giving instruction on both guitar and electric bass. Read More

Thank you for visiting my page. I guess music found me. On a family trip to Mexico by way of Arizona when I was eleven years old I remember guitars seemed to be everywhere. I asked my mom and dad if I could have the toy. When we got home from the trip I registered for music lessons and the guitar soon became my favorite toy. I'm a very optimistic person. I like to inspire my students, and watch them have fun and grow! Lessons should be a fun thing to look forward to. As a kid, I had many lessons and teachers that I did not enjoy going to, and I don't want that to be the case for my lessons.
