I tailor my lesson to each student, everyone has a different way of learning and interpreting the crazy world of music. For beginning students we start with the basics, how to hold a pick, how to tune your guitar and basic fretting technique. From there we go into the basic fundamentals of chords and scales. For younger beginning students, I typically start with either the Suzuki Guitar Method or Alfred's Kid's Guitar Course 1. For older children, I typically start with either the Suzuki Guitar Method or Guitar for Kids: Hal Leonard Guitar Method. Students are able to progress through the Suzuki Guitar Method through multiple volumes, or move through the Hal Leonard Guitar Method - Book 1 and continue through subsequent method books. For a classical guitar approach, I use the Suzuki Guitar Method, the Fredrick Noad Method Books, and the Christopher Parkening Guitar Method Book. Read More
