For children I tend to teach songs by The Beatles as standard curriculum, as well as learning to read music proficiently. The things tend to be non-negotiable unless the parent informs me otherwise. For teens and pre-teens reading music is optional as well as the types of songs you wish to learn or the theory you wish to learn. Over the past decade, I have performed with dozens of ensembles of varying styles from jazz orchestras to rock outfits to more off-kilter projects. We thrilled audiences in venues such as Sellersville and The State Street Blues Stroll. Lewis's next project was The Philly Rhythm Kings, a Gypsy Swing/Americana band, reaching into the the music of Django Reinhardt as well as American jazz and blues genres. It consisted of guitar, harmonica, bass and drums, with Lewis on guitar and vocals, harp virtuoso Seth Holzman, and a tight rhythm section.
