I have been teaching guitar for over 15 years. I teach all styles and skill levels from beginner to advanced. I have taught both children and adults and have achieved great results with both. I teach music theory, song writing, notation, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, composition, harmonization, and many other aspects of music. I have experience teaching all ages and skill levels. When it comes to children, I believe that structure is necessary. So, I usually assign arrangements from a book based on their skill level. In most cases, I use Hal Leonard books and move chronologically from beginner and onward. As students progress, I tend to shift more towards fundamental skills, like how to properly pick certain songs, how scales work, and how to build relevant chords.
