Keeping them engaged in the world of music is my main goal. Always to encourage them to keep pushing towards new boundaries. I remember my early piano teacher was terrible. It greatly damaged my passion for piano, which I regained many years later. I understand that a teaching position is not an easy one. We as professors, are the key to help the students find their own voices and not make them feel judged based on comparison or skills. Read More

It’s always been my dream to learn music, then perform and teach. And like a good student under the tutelage master musicians of the past, I’m passing on the art to others. All while making my own lesson plans that cater to the student. It’s an endless river of knowledge and fun. Music was innate in me from my family of performers and curators. Private instruction taught me the language; jamming taught me how to implement what I had learned. Read More

The best award for the teacher is seeing his student develops his own talent. And I'm sure that every one is talented and the only question is how it talent will be enriched and developed. I encourage my student being their true self in performing, feeding from traditional and modern sources but keeping his own unique voice or playing style, accomplishing his personal goals, without comparing his own dynamics and results with other people, but working on becoming better than himself every day of learning. All of my students receive personalized lesson plans and materials based on their interests, abilities, and goals. I usually draw from multiple sources including my own materials to make each lesson plan fit the student. It is important to me to balance material that builds techniques on the instrument with material that the student enjoys.
