Nothing is more rewarding than helping a student develop a passion for music and express them musically. I always emphasize the fun in music. Music is fun, so I makes it a goal to keep the lesson fun, with clear and achievable goals to keep the students inspired and practicing. Even more so, my experience in teaching has shown me the improvements in other aspects of student developments, especially in the younger ones. Read More

I have been teaching music since I was 16 years old and I want to share the same experiences I had as a student. Many teachers won't admit it, but a student's musical future depends almost entirely on who is teaching them. If a teacher is fun to get along with and understands how the student communicates then this can ensure longevity in a student's playing career (even if the student only plays for fun). Read More

An unforgettable highlight was sharing the stage with Cous at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in October 2022. Collaboration has been a cornerstone of my musical adventure, featuring esteemed artists like Cous, Grace De Vine, Lauren Hifrauf, Dandu, Diego Frenkel, Venus Cruz, Willie Green, Greg Tanner Harris, and Verena Fuentes. In a remarkably short period since its inception in 2020, my current project, "People in Between," has graced esteemed platforms like The Denver Post Underground Music Showcase, the Larimer Block Party (now Project PBR), and had the honor of opening for Grammy-nominated artist Emily Hale. Setting realistic goals is definitely a good place to start. Also, I encourage transcribing music in small sections, and to always start slow and take deep breaths, as this will reduce the student's normal anxiety and has done wonders in my own playing as well. Using a rhythm reference like a metronome or a drum loop while practicing is also a must, at it helps develop the student's groove. Internalizing music by developing the student's ear is also a very important part of my teaching style as Is applicable in any genre (hear it before you play it!) Read More

Since moving to LA, I have played hundred of local shows, toured around the US and to Russia, including playing the main stages at festivals with many thousands in attendance. I have recorded on records that have sold several million copies, including Robbie Williams (and his hit UK single "Candy") as well One Direction on their "Midnight Memories" album. I have worked with producers who's credits include Snow Patrol, U2, REM, Taylor Swift, One Direction, Robbie Williams, Silversun Pickups, The Fray, James Blunt, Neil Diamond, and many many more.Since starting my love for composition at 7, I continues to write and record, not only singing, but playing guitar, bass guitar, piano/keys, drums, mandolin, and harmonica, as well as producing and engineering, and mixing the session himself. Each lesson is personalized to the students needs. Their level, age and abilities, type of style that they are interested in learning, as well as how much practicing that they can commit to a week. I also like to incorporate music technology into teaching guitar. By using drum loops for instance and getting students to play chords and rhythm patterns along with loops, makes things more fun and dynamic! If a student wants to learn how to read, we will usually start with a simple method book as well as incorporating TAB into the lesson. Read More

I use Alfreds guitar method books for guitar and bass. Piano I use the Bastian and others. I teach from both my song books, and by thier cd or audio tracks. I teach each student individually and move them forward to performance level. I teach how to read music and music ear training. Theory training is also available at lessons as needed. Once I get the student past the basics on to intermediate level, I can listen to cd or audio recordings and reproduce the instrumental part on the spot. Read More
