My approach is focused very much on performance, technicalities, and theory. I believe it is very important for the student to understand how these aspects of playing coincide with each other, and how they are equally essential to music playing. Before giving a student a piece of music to play, I will always play it befoehand and dissect the song into portions that I feel need special attention. I encourage playing with other musicians, and always try to teach the art ofimprovisation, so that the students can learn to play not only by themselves, but with other musicians, using the musicial understanding that it takes to improvise. I first started teaching after I went good around middle school. I was giving charity classes to a bunch of friends from school who later decided to follow up their guitar studies academically and I gave them the foundation. I started teaching because my teacher said I was already good enough and if I could help him teach the other students, so I did until he retired and me and my Duo Partner took over the school. For beginners I usually start with a simple melody or riff. I love teaching Painting Black by The Rolling Stones because it is simple to play. Not only that, but it's a song that's easy to identify for most people's ear. I usually take my time allowing the student to learn. One or a few hours are enough to start learning the song. Once I leave, the student's homework is practice as often as possible in order to get some fluency on the instrument. Read More

I graduated from Berklee College of Music's Master Program of Scoring for Film,Tv and Video Games in 2013. I was the only student that managed to be accepted with a scholarship without previously owning a Bachelor Degree, mostly due to my portfolio and to my previous experience as a musician. I am also a passionate guitarist and I have been teaching guitar during the last 12 years. I performed in many stadiums in Greece with different rock bands as the lead guitarist. Read More

In my experience, the best way for beginning students, and how I start my method, is to first make them aware that they can develop their abilities and this is done starting with activities that are far from tedious and that on the contrary fill their initial expectations In order to foster taste and love for music and especially for the instrument they want to learn to interpret. As you begin to see your progress, it is at that moment that you begin to apply the fundamental theoretical concepts and that give rise to the progress of the student. Read More

I started professionally teaching bass and guitar in high school. I still have all of my students that I started out with. Making sure that my students don't get bored during a lesson is my main goal. Most students don't practice what they were taught in a lesson if the lesson was boring. I make sure that all my students stay happy in the lesson and excited to learn new things. Read More
