I always keep an open attitude and make my lessons energetic and exciting, while still being constructive. I love seeing my students' faces light up when they hear a cool lick, or when they nail a song they've been working on. That feeling makes the whole experience worth it for me, and I feel very lucky to teach music for a living. It's a pleasure to turn my students on to music and artists they've never heard before and seeing them grow into confident and mature players. Read More

Perhaps we could take the music in smaller chunks with an image association for each new musical chunk. It makes me very happy to watch each individual begin to understand and harness their own personal strengths during the learning process. Read More

I am degree educated in popular music and performance, and thoroughly enjoy bringing that wealth of musical knowledge and experience to every lesson I give. I can teach in students homes, or alternatively I enjoy teaching in my own Hollywood apartment studio. Read More

With any student who is in a beginning sort of stage with their musicality, I will start off by teaching them basic techniques, simple notes or chords(dependent on the type of instrument), and rudimentary knowledge of the notational system. Once they have started to make some progress, I take a unique approach by asking them of their own opinion for where they would want to see themselves go. I do this to not only make it as exciting as possible for the student, but to help them achieve a vision they already have for themselves. Read More

I have been teaching from October 2016 to the present. Coming into college as a Music Performance major, I never imagined the amount of joy that would come along with teaching. My experience with teaching has always been it's ability to it connect and inspire people. Learning music has always helped my students to express their interests with others. With lessons, I usually recommend a regular practice schedule with guitar fundamentals because fundamentals should come as second nature in learning music. Read More
