I started teaching guitar lessons in my hometown when I was 16 years old and was teaching at local music stores when I was 18. After graduating from Musicians Institute, I taught in-home private lessons in Los Angeles. I consistently had a full teaching schedule and gained a lot of experience through teaching students of all ages and skill levels. I use many different methods since I am of the opinion that all methods have their strengths and their weaknesses.  For children I typically use the Suzuki method and suplement with exercises and outside repertoire to compensate for the weaknesses in the Suzuki method.  I also use the Royal Conservatory method and try to teach its repertoire when the student is at an advance- beginner or intermediate level. I was hired there as a teacher the summer after I graduated from the school. The other students have been private instruction.
