Overview:

Hello, My name is Eric. Welcome to my Musika teachers page! I assume you're here because you are interested in music and possibly learning to play an instrument! With the right teacher you can make i really far with anything in life especially music. Let me tell you a little about myself to help you decide if I'm the right teacher for you!

I was born in Illinois. This is where i first started anything with music. At about 5 years old i started playing the Piano. I played for about 3 years. I stopped playing partially due to the move to St.Louis Missouri. In 4th grade i started music again with the violin and choir. I was in choir for about 2 years and violin for 4. Once i was getting close to being done with elementary school i started to learn the guitar. I started learning on the brothers Les Paul Epiphone in private lessons. Lessons very similar to the kind you will receive from me. I love guitar and continued it until today. It has been over a decade sense my first lesson and i have been loving every second on the instrument. Music did not just end with the guitar however. I started playing in band in middle school. I played the clarinet for 3 years. After band i continued guitar into high school taking all the guitar classes they offered. Surpassing even the teacher. I would eventually end up helping her students as i got closer to my senior year. I never even ate lunch most days because i would be in the guitar room practicing and playing guitar. After high school i moved to Colorado to where i am today in Arvada. I went to Red Rocks Community College for my AA Degree in Music which I got Spring of 2019. During my time at RRCC i took almost every music class they offered and started private lessons again with guitar and piano. Every bit of experience has helped my growth as a musician from my first lesson piano lesson at 5 years old to today. I plan to continue it all the way to a Doctorates Degree in Composition and to the grave. With all this time and experience I started to make my own home studio and write my own music and work with music and other musicians at every opportunity i get. I still learn more instruments today like the saxophone, bass, and drums.

It has been an amazing ride from day one to now. I will do everything I can to continue it and more.

METHODS USED

Everyone is different. Therefor, every student should have their own unique lesson to fit their own needs and wants as a musician and student. Learning the students interests in music is an important part of the first steps no matter how advanced they are. This will give the student and I an accurate gauge of how and what they want to learn. Every student will always need get some basics down right off the bat but if we are able to incorporate what a student enjoys then we can make the process of learning the basics much more fun and engaging. Past the basics i have a very down to earth approach to my methods. You are paying for the lessons so what you learn should be all up to you and what you want from yourself as a musician. I will try my best to get you the skills and knowledge you need. If i can't help because of my lack of ability in a certain area then i will supply you with the right things to be able to learn it. It is all up to you. I'm here to help you succeed at what you want.

LESSON STYLE

I love music and love teaching music to others. This is something I love and care about deeply. I will do nothing but give my best effort to all my students. If you’re willing to put a fair amount of effort into this, you can expect to learn a lot and have a ton of fun. It is so rewarding to get that song or riff down after putting in the effort to learn it. My promise to you is, “If you put in the work, you will be given every opportunity to succeed!” Everyone is different, and as a result, everyone’s individual lesson will be different. Your lessons will be suited to your interests and skill level. People are not the same and all music is not the same, therefor everyone's lesson should not be the same. Maybe you are looking to become a professional, or maybe you’re just looking to have some fun with the guitar and music. Either way, you’ll get personalized lessons to help you achieve your goals. I'm here for you to learn what you want the way you want. I guarantee that if you stay committed and be yourself you will succeed with these lessons. As well as in life as a whole.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
