Once the student has progressed and has managed to grasp fundamentals, we can proceed to the next volumes within the same series. For adults, I typically do my best to see what they are interested, and will guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons intriguing. Along with these method books, we will also work on music that they personally enjoy. My teaching experience began in my undergraduate days at Morehead State University. While teaching private lessons to students across Kentucky I also was a music theory tutor for my peers at Morehead. I have experience teaching students at all levels, from beginner to advanced levels. My theory and private lesson students always gained much improvement, and some of my advanced students even entered all state bands and competitions.
