I started playing flute in middle school. After a year I went on to become first chair and perform in numerous all-county concerts. I went on to do both concert and marching band in high school, playing both the flute and the piccolo. I became Flute section leader and field commander within my first two years. I also conducted a concert performance of Greensleeves with the whole band.
