However, I will make sure that the student plays within their skill level to avoid bad performing experiences. I grew up in Georgia fully embracing my band nerd. I started playing the saxophone in middle school and took weekly lessons. This led me to go on to college to study music. The saxophone lends itself to play in all genres like jazz and even classical music. I bring a mix of these into the lessons I teach to help students become well versed in saxophone literature. I began teaching private lessons while I was in high school, teaching a variety of students from the ages of 3 to 60 both flute and piano. During the years right after my university graduation I taught 1 or 2 students in my home, as well as teaching music to my own children from the beginner to the intermediate level.
