Instruments: Saxophone Flute
I began teaching privately since 2004. Here in US, I taught at The New England Conservatory Preparatory School and Berklee College of Music Outreach Program as well at University Of North Texas as a teacher fellow. After several years teaching, I have learned that every students is a different world. Somehow my teaching protocol I will be always customized or adjust to the student's capacity. But one very important factor doesn't change, I'm referring to a consistency on individual practice between lessons. Read More
Instruments: Piano Trumpet Trombone Saxophone Flute Ukulele Recorder Euphonium French Horn Tuba
My teaching experience began when I was in college. I taught trombone and euphonium private lessons for several years in the school district that I attended when I was a student. Additionally, I also have done All State Masterclasses for the TMEA trombone etudes. Encouraging regular practice, building the life-long skill of discipline, and hard work are key skills that I enjoy getting to emphasize to my students, as it has a tendency to build student progression and ultimately gain a passion for learning the instrument. Instruments: Flute Piccolo
A mixture of exercises, etudes, literature and theory to make sure that a student is a well-rounded musician, not just a flutist. Special attention is given to UIL and all-region material, as well as fundamentals. I'm stern, but extremely patient. Students are expected to practice and be well prepared, but the material chosen is fun and engaging! Read More

Music has been my life for so long and it is my passion! I started reading sheet music when I was 4. I started to learn Piano when I was 5. At age 7 I started learning basic Music Theory. At age 10, I began my journey with Flute and I have been playing ever since! I have played with the Arlington Community Orchestra, Flower Mound Philharmonic Orchestra, Flower Mound Flute Choir, TWU Wind Symphony, TWU Flute Choir, TWU Jazz band, TWU Pep band, and recently became a sub for the Mesquite Symphony. No matter the level of the student, I think it is important for them to have achievable goals to work towards. I like to have my students always preparing for something, whether it is an audition, recital, or competition. We do this by working on a combination of solos, etudes, fundamentals, duets, and sight-reading activities. I like to make sure that whatever we are working on is at the right ability level for the student and challenges them appropriately. Read More

As I mentioned before, there is no greater reward than to witness students recognizing their own potential for themselves! Therefore, all lessons are built around the student's desires, needs, and talent. All individuals have the ability to learn and play an instrument and this is something I strongly believe in. I am a very open minded teacher who encourages "outside of the box" approaches and loves to explore different ideas to gain a full understanding of musical gestures, styles, and mastery. Read More

For young beginners, I make use the method book that is being used at their school as well as supplying materials specifically for their instrument. As the student progresses, he/she will be introduced to solo repertoire as well advance method books for recital and competitive purposes. The objective is keep the student challenged but at the same time making sure the lessons are enjoyable. For intermediate and advanced students, I use the school curriculum at the school they happen to attend to meet the requirements of the music program. Read More
