For adults and intermediate to advanced children, I use a combination of books from different authors e.g. Taffanel Gaubert Flute Method, Marcel Moyse books, for technique development and also many pieces from the classical repertory. For very young students who have never read music, I would begin with flute posture on a special Suzuki flute if the student is smaller framed.
