For adults and intermediate to advanced children, I use a combination of books from different authors e.g. Taffanel Gaubert Flute Method, Marcel Moyse books, for technique development and also many pieces from the classical repertory. I also let the students choose pieces of any style that theyre interested in playing and they can handle. I started performing as tenor first when I was 12 years old with the First Baptist Church of Managua City, which they made two annual concerts on the National Theater per year that first would involve performing Classical Music choir performances and the second performance would be dedicated for Christmas, this under the direction of the Jorge Bojorge, who was the director the National Conservatory of Music UPOLI, back then. When I attended Rhode Island School of Design, I performed  flute and piccolo in the Brown University Orchestra and also studied flute at Boston University. Throughout the years, I have taken Master classes with Orchestral Flutists such as Julius Baker of the New York Philharmonic and Jeannie Baxtresser in Tanglewood, Mass. Even though my Major was Art and  I made a living as an art teacher in the public school system, my love for flute and music was always present as I would often incorporate music and flute playing into my art lessons.
