When I attended Rhode Island School of Design, I performed  flute and piccolo in the Brown University Orchestra and also studied flute at Boston University. Throughout the years, I have taken Master classes with Orchestral Flutists such as Julius Baker of the New York Philharmonic and Jeannie Baxtresser in Tanglewood, Mass. I will learn their intentions of what their goals are short term and long term so we can work together to prepare for what is to come. For adults and intermediate to advanced children, I use a combination of books from different authors e.g. Taffanel Gaubert Flute Method, Marcel Moyse books, for technique development and also many pieces from the classical repertory. I also let the students choose pieces of any style that theyre interested in playing and they can handle.
