I later moved to NYC where I started my professional playing career. I first took up clarinet at 10, and later added flute, but saxophone has been my main focus over the years. I play around the Austin area in a variety of settings from big bands to musicals to rock/blues groups to studio recording to classical ensembles; pretty much whatever is asked for. For very young piano/keyboard students, lessons go more smoothly if they know right hand and left hand, count to 10 and know ABC's. They learn to read music almost immediately, and I give them the tools to be able to pick up any piece of music and play it independently.
