I try to approach teaching music and guitar in a similar way to how I would approach any other kind of teaching, and attribute my unique background and skillset to make my lessons effective for a diverse range of students. I believe in shaping a lesson around the student. First, I find out what the student wants to focus on more, whether it is notation and musical theory, or learning a few basic chords, strumming patterns and such, to be able to play their favorite songs. No matter their ability, this method of teaching is effective because I find that it keeps the students interested and engaged.
