I am a passionate and dedicated musician with a broad range of experiences both in education and performance. As a solo artist, I have toured the United States extensively, and have performed at festivals in the Caribbean and Denmark. Having performed and taught music in so many styles, I feel I can bring a lot of perspective to each lesson. My teaching experience starts back to my beginning years of college days. I start began teaching as private lesson instructor at my previous college community music school. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. What rock song do you want to know, or Rn B song, or country song, or church song. As long as it is not too difficult or out of your current ability we will do it. I began teaching students while still in high school. I continued teaching students in college with the University of Texas String Project. Upon graduation, I taught programs in both public and private schools, while developing a studio of private students at our home. I have taught private students for most of the past 35 years, teaching all ages from 6 yrs. and up, beginning to advanced. I encourage regular practice for steady improvement and also instruct my students in how to practice in order to make the best progress. Read More

I had few teaching experience in the past; all of them are beginner students. I am currently working on my own teaching curriculum and materials. I have come up my own way to approach teaching music theory to students because traditional way of music theory teaching in school is too vague for most beginner students.
