I graduated with High Honors from DePaul University with a BA in Music and have been teaching individual music lesson ever since. I do not demand perfection from my students, but I do expect students to put in the effort to learn. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with fundamentals in tone (Trevor Wye) and Moyse daily studies (I still use it myself!) . Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

My main groups include Tge Chicago Cosmopolitan Orchestra (Principal 2nd, piccolo, and assistant Principal Flute) The Wabash Winds, and The Riojas Duo (Flute and Percussion.) I also actively do other chamber music, and work at Music and Arts.
