Each student is different with variety of expectations, abilities and interests, so as I get to know them, I try to best cater to their needs and find ways for them to learn while growing and improving on every level, not just musically. Filipa B. was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. She received her high school diploma from the National School of Music Lyubomir Pipkov. There she played as a soloist with the Sofia Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, the National School of Music Lyubomir Pipkov Youth Brass Band, and the Pioneer Orchestra. I use several levels of method books that may encompass technical concepts (Moyse), orchestral studies (J. Donjon), Selected Duets, Solo works, Aebersold Jazz Studies and custom lesson plans that I create according to the performance level of the student. It is important to be creative in implementing the different levels of cognition to help students effectively retain and use new information.
