I have been teaching woodwinds for over 40 years, in my private studio in my home. I teach all levels of flute, clarinet, and saxophone. In May of 2014 I graduated with my Master's degree in flute performance from the Yale School of Music. My musical passion is chamber music, and new music. This focus has led me to found a professional woodwind quintet, Sounding Board, and to pursue my second Master's degree in a specialized contemporary performance program at Manhattan School of Music. Daniel is a versatile musician, composer, and educator. He began playing saxophone at age 11, and has since expanded his repertoire to include multiple woodwind instruments. Originally from midcoast Maine, Daniel has been based primarily out of New York since 2008 when he began his studies at Purchase College. I did this because I loved the story and it enabled me to connect with my students and teachers, and indirectly parents, in important and personal ways.
