Throughout the years I have taught in person, online, have led flute choirs, and have been a clinician for woodwind sections for bands and orchestras. I'm a multi-instrumentalist who's been performing on piano since I was 14 back in my hometown of Austin, Texas. In 2009, I moved to the east coast to continue my education at William Paterson University. I teach half hour lessons and instruct the student on good reading habits, how to practice and perform, encouraging them to bring in any supplemental music they are working on at school or on the internet. The importance of practice cannot be over emphasized, nor can the encouragement (nagging!!) Of an interested parent. A student cannot learn an instrument just by coming to lessons. I have performed all across the state of Pennsylvania, in Connecticut, New York, Delaware, and as far away as Italy.
