I am a flute player of over 15 years with 8 years teaching experience who is passionate about providing quality lessons, especially to students who would not otherwise have access to them. I am a professional flautist and graduate of Berklee College of Music. Growing up, while I was blessed with a wonderful mentor on flute, I knew a lot of people who never had the chance to take lessons. I have been teaching guitar, electric bass, and woodwinds for over 30 years.  I have a Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern Illinois University.  I have performed all over the Chicago area in a variety of Rock, Americana, Country, Folk, Blues, and Celtic ensembles.  I write original songs and compose music for dance and film. Since these students moved a lot, I would continue teaching out of the books they were currently using to keep they're progress consistent. The most important element of my teaching is seeing my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more.
