I started teaching in 2009 in Mississippi. I taught 6th grade band (beginner), 7th grade band, and high school. I taught in Mississippi for 5 years and just recently moved to Tennessee. While teaching, I've given private lessons to some of my students after school and to some students who did not attend my school. I graduated from Free Will Baptist Bible Collage in 2008 with my Bachelor of Art in flute performance I also took my flute lessons at Belmont University. I am a big fan of the Rubank elementary, intermediate, and advance methods. In addition I like incorporate sight reading into lessons due to being a common element in auditions. For high school students the I use Rubank books and supplement that with Rose etudes as they are often use as audition material in KY.
