I have over 25 years experience teaching Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, and beginner-intermediate Piano to children and adults of all ages. I am active in the NYC jazz and improvised music scenes, and have toured throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe including concerts in Sweden, Germany, Austria, France, Hungary, and Portugal. Over the past ten years, I have had the privilege of working with students of all ages, and have been on faculty at the Manhattan School of Music Summer Program, the Larchmont Music Academy, All-Island Music, and an adjunct teaching instructor New York University’s Steinhardt School of Music. Alongside these institutions, I have maintained and increased my private home studio located in the west village in NYC. I began teaching flute privately in 2000, building a flute studio in Buffalo, NY of over 15 members. My students are known for their consistency in rhythm and pitch, along with their love of flute. I encourage all students to enter competitions and attend performances and masterclasses, which motivates students and encourages them to seek their own creative outlets. I've found that through combining not only flute fundamentals, but music theory, singing and movement, I have had a higher success rate for continued improvement with my students. Read More

My audience consisted of Conservatory teachers, student of all ages, prospective students, parents as well as non-musicians. My main priority is always create my lesson plan around the students' goals and motivations. Learning how to play an instrument requires time, patience and discipline, that's why it's so important for the students to stay motivated, and enjoy the classes and the practices at home. For this reason I always try to adapt the methods and repertory that I use in my classes, to the the students' personal needs, combining their personal taste in music with exercises and pieces that help to improve their performing and technical skills.
