Throughout the years I have taught in person, online, have led flute choirs, and have been a clinician for woodwind sections for bands and orchestras. I have produced students who consistently achieve superior ratings at solo festivals and have received principal chair positions within their school band. I have participated in the BU Tanglewood Institute Young Artists Orchestra and the Texas Festival Orchestra at the Round Top Festival Institute. At Juilliard, I have performed in Alice Tully Hall with the Juilliard Orchestra, the New Juilliard Ensemble, the AXIOM ensemble. In my free time, I participate in community outreach through benefit concerts and as a member of the United Nations Chamber Music Society, the United Nations charity chamber music series that raises money for the United Nations Refugee Fund. Some students respond really well to demonstration and imagery, while others prefer a more directional approach in understanding the anatomy of the body and a technical understanding of what needs to be done, I strive to incorporate my lessons with theoretical and stylistic knowledge to help my students develop a self-aware ability to interpret pieces of all eras on their own.
