Music is also a collaborative practice, so I think it is important for the student and the teacher to play together in a supportive environment to help reaffirm the week's lesson. As they love what they are doing and how well they are succeeding, student often develop a wanting to put more and more work into their playing. I show encouragement for their accomplhments, yet also discipline to make sure they are on the correct path.
