I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs and desires. I encourage all of them to develop reading, listening, coordination, and concentrating skills. I help each student to have the ability to play many different music styles and improvise in those styles. We work with developing the ear in order to play along with recorded music and teach them how to transcribe the songs so that they can document it for future use. Read More

First of all, theory is extremely important to learn music. By learning and understanding theory you will realize and appreciate music as the amalgam between art and science. Music is heavily influenced by math. Music is science of the soul. Secondly, I make a lot of emphasis on improvisation as well. I began teaching guitar part-time about 6 years ago as a side job, on top of my then-main gig as a grocery store clerk. There are three main components I look for in a student: passion, potential, and diligence. If a student has the passion for music, the potential to get better, and the diligence to put in the time and work, the sky is the limit! Read More

My teaching style focuses on meeting you where you're at and helping you grow into the exact type of drummer that you want to be. I am also well versed in music theory and music history, including rock and pop history and I believe that exploring these things along with the lessons can be so helpful! I respect all students moving at their own pace. If you are struggling with something in between lessons, you can contact me and I will try to respond as soon as possible to help guide you through the exercise. Read More

At a young age I found a passion for music, as soon as I started playing I realized that it was what I wanted to do for my career. I started studying and practicing as much as I could to learn anything and everything about it. As I progressed I applied Berklee College of Music and was accepted there to continue my studies, and one of the best lessons I learned was that I had an obligation to teach those who weren't given the same opportunities that I was. I began my relationship with much when I starting playing drums at age 7. I played in percussion in school bands for a few years then I found the drum set. I found discipline and independence through the drum set, and soon started learning guitar and piano. I attended Berklee College of Music for Contemporary Writing & Production, with a focus in Drumset performance. While at Berklee, I played drumset/percussion in musical theater productions for other Boston colleges (Boston Conservatory, Emerson) and played with local bands in the Boston area. Read More
