I have various teaching styles that I adapt based on the individual I am teaching. Some people learn best through visual and auditory methods, while others require written instructions. I am comfortable teaching in both styles, but I have noticed that most individuals learn best through hands-on experience. Nonetheless, I can adjust my teaching approach to accommodate anyone who wants to learn how to play the drums. I am currently a Senior Music Education Major at Eastern Michigan University. I am a saxophonist in the EMU Wind Symphony, EMU Big Band, EMU Saxophone Ensemble, EMU Jazz Saxophone Sextet, Stone Tower Saxophone Quartet, Krangerson Duo, REMIX, and Funkwagon. For the 2011-2012 school year I was a Music Project Coordinator at a high school in Montreal, where I gave private lessons (drums, guitar, piano), coached bands, assisted students and ran rehearsals in ensemble classes, and co-organized the school's winter and fall concerts. Since moving to Detroit in 2012 I have been teaching private lessons to students of all ages in studios and in students' homes, and as a substitute teacher have led ensemble rehearsals at all grade levels.
