I have been playing guitar for nearly 20 years.  Over those years I have played many different styles, playing different instruments in different bands, from open mics to big venues all over the country.  I love playing music and love helping others discover their love as well.  One note worthy teaching gig I’ve had was working for a company in Nassau County, NY teaching guitar and music theory to developmentally challenged adults in a day program.  There is no musician I will turn away; my focus is guitar, but I have many instruments and can introduce the basics for many such as drums, violin, viola, cello, piano, bass guitar, as well as composition and arrangement.  I have worked with many bands, ensembles, and chamber groups, and would love the opportunity to help you achieve your musical goals.  Whatever your musical interests, I'll help you get to where you want to go. I also co-lead an original Latin/Jazz project, Two Worlds, with drummer Rodrigo Bonelli and pianist Michael Shea. With this group, I released a full-length album called 'Stream of Stars' which is available in stores. Two Worlds has played festivals and clubs throughout the Northeastern U.S. including DROM, Miles Cafe, Shrine and Sugar Bar in New York City and Ryles Jazz Club, The Fireplace, The Beehive, and The Vernissage in Boston. Usually involves forcing student to use a metronome, teaching the student to slow down when a piece is too difficulta tempo,and making sure the student is addressing problem areas of a piece rather than starting at the beginning every time. Last 10 min.: Improvisation. This covers a broad range of subject matter. It might involve me playing something like chords while the student improvises. My method of teaching focuses on Technique and Musicality. No matter the level of student, these areas can be practiced and results will be heard thru the focus on these. Reading music is taught, but naturally along with the focus on the two areas mentioned before. For example, Eddie wants to learn ACDC's "Back in Black".
