I am an incredibly passionate percussionist and composer in the Denver area. I have several years of experience in both concert and marching percussion, playing in the LMEA All State Band in high school and marching at the Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps in 2019 and 2022. I am currently marching with the Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble for the 2024 season playing snare drum. I can offer both in-person and virtual lessons for any skill level. Read More

My teaching experience has ranged from showing folks how to hold drum sticks and execute drum rolls to showing folks how to play hyper complex polyrhythmic prog metal songs. I am a very open and empathetic teacher who is sure to work well with anyone who has an actual drive to learn the drums and become a better drummer over time. I have also taught private lessons on various instruments and in voice since 2008. I have had my students make All-State Honor Band/All-State Choir, I have had students get college scholarships and many have been accepted into colleges as music majors, I have had students nominated for the All-American Army Marching Band, and have even had students perform solo recitals in public venues. For children I will typically start with Hal Leonard's Drums 1. I will use examples that build upon each other until we can construct full beats, playing along with a wide repertoire of music. It's important to get the younger student to have fun, building passion for their instrument.
