Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music. Naturally everyone is different and will progress at their own pace, so I would guide my instruction according to their wants, needs, skill level and also challenge them to venture beyond their comfort zone in each lesson. Being familiar with music is key and this can be accomplished at any age. The more a student becomes familiar with music, the more connections and comparisons the student will be able to make between drummers in all kinds of settings and genres of music, which will then enhance the student's playing on the drum set. I began teaching in 2009 while I was attending the University of Massachusetts Lowell. While I was a student I began to study with some truly great musicians who really helped me realize my potential. I got some jobs teaching area high school drumlines and marching bands and really enjoyed the experience. When I first started playing I was mostly interested in marching bands and drumlines.
