I have been teaching guitar and drums since August of 2012. I started by teaching my friend's kids on the drums, ages 5 and 10. I also gave guitar lessons to adults of different ages, ranging from 20s to 80s. This includes a position as a Recreation Instructor for the City of Los Angeles. When I receive a new student the first thing I do is assess where they are technically and what their interests are. From there I develop custom lesson plans that are design to improve a certain technique while learning new music. For example if a student comes in and really loves Michael Jackson's music but doesn't know how to hold the drumsticks or read music, I will give them basic exercises to improve their lack of technical ability and then we'll apply it to a song. I'm a friendly and passionate instructor who loves working with students of all ages. In 2016, I graduated from Newcastle University with a Bachelor of Arts degree with in Drum Performance. Between 2014-16, I led a funk/fusion and salsa ensemble each consisting of 10-12 members and toured the UK and America's East Coast. In 2016, I did the Independent Artist programme from Musician's Institute where I learnt more about Music Business, Recording and Production, which helped me understand how to make it as a drummer in real life once you attain a certain skill level.
