I have taught on and off for the last 7 years. Recently I have decided to change careers and focus music and teaching full time. During my time as an undergrad student I taught percussion and basic piano lessons in the local area. Since leaving school in 2014 I have continued my music education and focused on teaching young children both group and individual. For most students, it is important to see where they are musically, regardless of the level, and craft a lesson plan to help them achieve their goals. There will be a balance between musical concepts and repertoire. The deeper we go in learning the song and learning the recording, the more the student will benefit. My fondest memories as a student were those where I was learning and listening to music with my teacher.
